We believe eating healthy is an act of self-love and a social responsibility towards our planet and animal welfare.
Veronica and Diego are partners in love and in life. They share a passion for plant-based cooking, cycling, and compassion for animals. Together they co-created Love Life Cafe, a plant-based restaurant centered on serving delicious and conscious food and providing the Miami community with the support they need to lead healthier lives and love life.
Veronica is originally from Brazil and graduated from the University of Miami in 2006 with a double major in Journalism and Psychology. She is also a certified holistic health coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and graduated from both Robert Morse's International School of Detoxification and Matthew Kenney's Academy for Plant Based Sports Nutrition in 2014. With a deep passion for healthy lifestyle practices, Veronica founded Peace A' Cake, a vegan and gluten-free baked goods company in 2009 and Conscious Bite Out, a plant-based dining event aimed to educate the community about healthier lifestyle choices, in 2010.
Diego graduated from T. Colin Campbell's Plant-Based Nutrition Program at Cornell University in 2012 and has an accomplished career in photography and the arts. A self-taught cook, he is passionate about the relationship between food, the planet, animals, and health. His love for both food and animals evolved into a deep passion for plant-based cooking. To Diego, plant-based cooking is so much more than creating beautiful, healthy, and flavorful dishes, it's also about making the world a better place.
